Leaving Melbourne for the Great Ocean Road

I have spent a few days in Melbourne to say goodbye to a few more friends. A good friend decided to buy me a ipod to replace the one that seems to have disappeared. I never did find my mobile but my feeling is that I am moving on and this new number will suffice.

I felt keen to leave Melbourne. I don’t feel cities are the place to be as we move closer to 2012. However, I am heading for Perth and then from there I am not sure.

I stayed with a good friend of mine who is involved in providing programs in schools to assist children in learning how to grow and cook food. She also agrees that the world is changing. We discussed the global rising up that is occuring and the recent protests in Wall Street and here in Australia. I consider it part of a general change in feeling worldwide as people start to awaken to the world that has been created and the likelihood that conditions are not improving but declining. So the more that stand up and speak up the better as we start to take responsibility globally for the world that has been created and the declining paradigm of business-as-usual. A new world is indeed coming.

I had a lovely morning looking at my friends fresh garden and enjoying time together. Another friend invited me to meet her camping on the Great Ocean Road. This is a beautiful part of the Victorian coastline. It has crashing seas coming up to mountains and cliff faces. I saw a few sea stacks and green lush bush and forests. It has incredible energy this space.

I caught up with my friend and I will camp overnight here then head to Adelaide.

The car is running well, food is restocked and I am looking forward to driving 3,414 km. Looking forward to being in the desert again and travelling across the Nullabor plain.

tomorrow I have a 781km drive, so it is quite long. I may even consider camping on the way. I’ll see what happens.

Life is great, I just love the open road and being free.
